Common Entrance Test (CET- Gujarat): 2023

Gnanshakti Residential Schools (GSRS), Gnanshakti Tribal Residential Schools (GSTRS) from the academic session 2023-24 by the State Govt. Gnanasetu Day Schools (GSDS) and Rakshashakti Schools (RSS) are to be started under various state government schemes.

Gnanshakti Residential Schools (GSRS) for students who have completed Class I to V in Government and Granted (Government, Panchayat, Municipal or Municipal Schools, Government or Granted Schools under Tribal Development Department, Tribal Education Society Schools) schools. Gnanshakti Tribal Residential Schools (GSTRS), Gnanasetu Day Schools (GSDS), Rakshashakti Schools (RSS), and Model Schools (MS) are planned to offer admission based on the merit of Common Entrance Test in Class-VI.

Students who have completed classes 1 to 5 in independent schools will be admitted to Rakshashakti Schools (RSS) and Model Schools (MS) only on the basis of merit in the Common Entrance Test in class 6.

On the single file dated 15/03/2023 of Total Education, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar, state examination bid, Gandhinagar is mentioned about taking the examination.

All the above schools are planning to conduct a Common Entrance Test for admission to Class VI. The program is as follows.

Eligibility for Admission:-

1. Students who have studied from class 1 to 5 in government and aided schools and who have completed class 5 will be able to take the common entrance examination for class 6 in all the above schools (Gnanshakti Residential Schools, Gnanshakti Tribal Residential Schools, Gnanasetu Day Schools, and Rakshashakti Schools). Based on the merit of this Common Entrance Examination, the Chogad Pravee will be given.
2. Students who have completed class-5 of independent private schools can give this Common Entrance Test for admission to Rakshashakti Schools and Model Schools only. Admission to class 9 will be given on the basis of merit in this common entrance examination.

Examination Fee:-  -Nil- (Free)

Exam Pattern:-

1. The entrance examination is of multiple choice form and of different objective form (Multiple Choice Questions). It will be MCQ Based.
2. The entrance exam question paper will be 120 marks and the duration will be 150 minutes.
3. The medium of the entrance examination will be in Gujarati/English language.
4. The entrance exam will be on the standard syllabus. There will be questions based on Mathematics, Gujarati, English, Hindi, and Environment subjects and logical reasoning ability tests and general knowledge subjects.

The entrance exam will have the following subject and weightage.

Examination Centre:-

According to the number of candidates registered for the examination and examination-oriented administrative convenience, the test examination centers will be decided by the State Examination Board, Gandhinagar in that taluka in the state of Gujarat.

School Selection:-

The provision made for admission to these schools on the basis of the merit of this Common Entrance Examination and the selection of the school will be decided by the Education Department. Separate instructions will be given at the time of admission.
